At Paw Haven Sanctuary & Rescue, our journey began with a shared vision—one that emerged from a deep love for animals and a commitment to making the world a better place for dogs in need. We opened this sanctuary because we believe every dog deserves a second chance. Whether they’ve been abandoned, neglected, or are simply too fearful to find a home on their own, we knew there was a way to provide them with a permanent, loving place to thrive.

Many of us have seen firsthand the incredible resilience of dogs who have endured hardship, and it is this resilience that inspired us to create a sanctuary that focuses on giving dogs a secure, happy, and fear-free environment.

Our mission is simple but powerful: To provide a permanent haven for dogs in need. Whether a dog is adoptable or not, they will have a place to live out their days peacefully. Our sanctuary isn’t just a temporary stop; it’s a forever home for those who need it most.

There is an overwhelming need for a safe refuge for dogs in New Hampshire and beyond. Local shelters are often overwhelmed, and many dogs throughout the country are at risk of being euthanized due to behavioral issues or overcrowding. Additionally, many dogs are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them, leaving them with nowhere to go. We knew that a space like Paw Haven could make a significant difference in the lives of these animals.

But it wasn’t just about providing physical shelter. We wanted to create a holistic, compassionate environment that goes beyond simply housing dogs. We wanted to give them a place where they could heal, learn to trust again, and receive the love and care they deserve.
